The average cost of these healthcare services for providers in hospitals in Maine is $19,790 and does not include well baby care, facility fees, nor lactation care. In that model, time with the provider during prenatal and postpartum visits is limited, whereas in this model you have access to your midwife for 45 minutes to 1 hour at each prenatal appointment, and care for both you and your baby, in your home for 6-8 weeks after the birth. If you include the costs associated with routine hospital interventions, facility fees and additional provider fees, a hospital birth is often $30,000 - $50,000.
Moonbabies uses an insurance biller for those wishing to seek reimbursement from their policy. The practice is considered out-of-network for standard insurance and may be subject to an out of network deductible and coinsurance. Biller fees are the responsibility of the midwifery client.
HSA and FSA payments are accepted.
Lactation Consultation:
Gina is part of The Lactation Network and the Wildflower network, which provide in-network IBCLC visits at no out of pocket cost if your insurance plan is in network. To check your coverage, please follow this link to enter your insurance information:
